I doubt it will work (Disney rarely ever reverses decisions like this), but it's definitely worthwhile to let them know how we all feel.

I'm certainly bummed that VMK is closing...

How can I set up an email campaign in Outlook where emails are sent automatically on set dates?

I can't use an outlook "add-in" due to corporate firewall. I have a series of 15 emails I send to clients over the series of 90 days. Now I'm manually using outlook task series to remind me and then I manually have to send. yuck. How do I automate this so the emails are sent out automatically? I don't want to have to generate each email and place in outbox to be sent at a later date. any ideas??

Can we start an email campaign to save this London landmark from demolition?

I live in London and I've just heard that a really famous indoor antiques market in Islington is being sold off to developers.

It was built in 1850 and has about 50 little shops in it. It's great to walk around in and has loads of good stuff (not dear - I'm poor and I buy stuff there!). The owners want to sell it off for 'redevelopment' and have told the little shopkeepers they are getting evicted.

If you could get all your mates to email the Council in protest, it might just work (doesn't matter where you are in the world - tourists come over specially to visit it) - maybe put it on your Facebook entry!

Here's an article about the mall:

http://www.thecnj.com/islington/2008/011...

and here is the mall's website:http://www.themallantiques.co.uk/

Please email: planning@islington.gov.uk quoting the reference number P080135.

Thanks a million! (ps. I'm just a customer, not a shopkeeper!)

Has anyone started an email campaign against Mugabe?

Surely, now Mugabe is turning out/preventing anyone from helping the the starving in Zimbabwe SOMEONE will DO something to stop this ogre.

Can anyone devise an email scheme whereby individuals send emails to Mugabe 'supporters' in Africa to make them aware of the abhorrence of the majority of the world at his despicable actions and at LEAST shun this monster?

I cannot understand how any society or Government that calls itself civilised can standby and watch all this happening.

At the very lowest level this could cause the recipients some inconvenience.

Please people, DO something.

I am about to send some emails to South African Embasy....

Information on Email Campaign.?
Ok to use e-mail marketing you will need an auto responder that complies to spam regulations. They have to be able to opt out at any time.

How it works you first need to have a landing page or lead capture on your site. In this you need to give some thing away that is relevant to your site it could be a free coarse or e book.

the aim of the give away is to get their e-mail address. Then the auto responder comes it to play. This collects their e-mail address though the opt in form you supply on the site or landing page also know as squeeze page.

Your auto responder will deliver a series of e-mails in sequence to the subscribers. These are preset up by you previously, each subscriber will move down the line of e-mails.

You cannot do this efficiently with out a auto responder sending one or two e-mails is easy sending hundreds is not.

Here is some examples of a landing page.

The do's

always offer some thing for free and use double opt in this requires them to confirm their subscription. Always have an opt out link at the bottom of each e-mail.

How can I improve this viral email campaign (www.orbisoft.com)?

Hello

We are trying to improve the intitial and follow-on take-up rate for: http://www.orbisoft.com/products/taskman...

It is the third page in the series after:

http://www.orbisoft.com/products/taskman...

http://www.orbisoft.com/products/taskman...

We will reward anyone who can make it snow-ball for us.
How can I improve this viral email campaign (www.orbisoft.com)?
I manage client services for PopularMedia, a viral marketing company. Here are a couple simple things that I think could really help your current program.

First, you want to encourage participant in the program no matter how many (or few) people that a potential participant can invite.

You have set the bar for participation very high. In order for someone to benefit from your referral program and qualify for the free single user license and coupon, they must know seven friends/associates that they are willing to invite into the program.

My guess is that a very small number of people actually know seven qualified individuals for your product. Even if they do, they may not be able to recall all seven of those email addresses off of the top of their head. So, you are probably seeing a very low response on these referrals because the recipients are either poorly qualified just plan old bogus email addresses that the user is entering to qualify for the referral bonus software license and discount.

Any number of referrals from users, no matter how few, are good for your business. Successful viral programs typically have a token motivator just for minimal participation and then a stretch goal if the user reaches some increased rate of participation. For example, you could extend a users trial period by a day/week/month (token motivator) for each email address that they provide and give them the full license if they submit all seven required addresses.

This will increase the total number of participants in your program that share with their colleagues which will, in turn, lead to a much bigger pool of leads for you.

Once you have established some consumer benefit for all referrals you want to encourage EVERYONE that comes through your process to refer their friends. I would consolidate the download page to one option that includes the email submit fields without being required. This will increase the number of people interacting with the email submit fields as well as increasing the amount of real estate on the page to sell the referral program value proposition.

Referrers should have the ability to craft their own custom message to their friends. This will increase the conversion rates on your referral emails as consumers will almost always be better at crafting a compelling message for members of their social network than even the best marketers can. Remember, the referee has no point of reference for your product beyond what their friends is giving them in that message. If it comes across as standard marketing message then the recipient will be less likely to respond. To give you a baseline, a good referral email should have a 5-10x better click rate than a standard marketing email does.

Finally, try following up with all users that download your software via email towards the end of their free trial to see if they know of anybody they would like to referafter using your product. Many people don't want to open up their social network and refer a product until they have some experience with it. Assuming they have had a positive experience they should be a great source of referals.

I hope this info is helpful!

How do you do an email campaign?

1. Develop a list of users/customers/subscribers who have expressly said that they want to receive your mailings. If you have a website, put a subscription box on your site explaining what users will receive and the frequency of mailings to them. Or if you are offering an ebook for free download, put a box in the info form and ask them to check it if they wish to receive your mailings. Developing a mailing list for pure opt-in subscribers may take years depending on the popularity of your site and the attractiveness of your offerings

2. Prepare your email. Decide whether you will do an HTML campaign or a pure text campaign

3. Write the content of your email -- bearing in mind the things that often trip the spam filters and cause your mailings to be blocked by the ISP. An example is the words "free" . You can use free spam-scoring tools such as Gravity Mail www.gravitymail.com/spamscore.php

4. Get whitelisted. Apply to AOL to be included in their white list http://postmaster.aol.com/guidelines/sen... . Check with other ISPs

5. Decide on how you want to send your mailings. You can use software such as e-Campaign http://www.lmhsoft.com/ecamp/ ; use your web host's mailing software, or use third party services such as Constant Contact http://www.constantcontact.com

6. Track your results. Monitor how many people open your emails and click on your links. Constant Contact, Lyris and other similar services offer tracking and monitoring data.
How do you do an email campaign?
Are you talking about Spamming? Unsolicited email is spam and illegal (even though we get a bombed with them everyday). There are places you can buy leads. These are the opt-in lists. You could just google "opt-in list" and I am sure you can find what you are looking for. Please make sure I am not on your list! :)

Has anyone had a successfull email marketing campaign?

Email marketers are the scum of the Earth, why would you want to be in the same category?
Has anyone had a successfull email marketing campaign?
I've done email marketing many times and I've always believed that it is a utter waste of time and resources... nobody reads marketing emails coz we're bombarded with so many spam emails these days. It's no longer effective. I'd rather do online ad banners or search engine marketing.
Reply:Personally, I would recommend using email with existing clients, or for those that you said you will email them/gained permission to email.

Do not buy an email list. It is a waste of time.

Did the Barack Obama campaign run an ad that said McCain doesn't know how to send email, and does anyone care?
The point of the ad wasn't e-mails or even computers. The point was he's out of touch with basic everyday technology that even my 70 year old mother is familiar with.

And yes I care as should you.
Reply:You really don't seem to understand what you're talking about.

Palin used private email systems for official state business. This is at best unethical (because it's an attempt to avoid subpoenas) and at worst illegal (for violations of state recordkeeping and confidentiality laws).

McCain doesn't know how to use email at all.

The two issues aren't related. And you make yourself look foolish by calling Obama a "messiah."

It would be volunteer work. If you are an Obama supporter, their rationale is it's work you'd be happy to do for free.

Hello! how can i start an email campaign?

It is all very well creating a web site whether it is your own or a turnkey one but for a newbie it is useless if we don't know how to start an email campaign or know how to post a letter or about me page.
Hello! how can i start an email campaign?
You could try to get yourself an already made website. These are very easy to use and depending on the price you pay depends on the content you can add to your site. For instance some web hosting packages offer you a simple package of about 4 pages but if you pay a bit more (not much more) you can add a blog page, a guestbook and a forum etc etc. You will most certainly always have a page "about Us" where you can add a bit about who you are and what you do etc. There will always be the chance to add "Contact Us" which is imprtant if you are giving a service then the customer can email you. These emails will always go to your chosen domain name which you can have sent to wherever you like. (If you want it sent to your yahoo addy then you can do that also, you jcut have them forwarded when you set it up. You can change the site and the setting as you go so if later on you decide to change things you can. Just have a look around the hosting sites for the best deals. I have used www.123-reg before and there is an annual subscription from between æ‹¢10 for a cheapy up to about æ‹¢100 possibly more, I've never gone that far up LOL. When you've bought what you need you just log into 123 and hit the button that says edit your site. Its all very easy and fun to play with and its a step by step guided package so you can't go wrong.

Good luck and I hope this helps 脺

Reply:If you don't have a mailing list that has opted-in, you'll need to use someone else's list. In other words, you'll have to buy a mailing list of people who have agreed to receive emails about your type of product.

This is called "Bulk Emailing", and contrary to what most people believe, is not SPAM. You do however, need to be CAN-SPAM compliant in your emailing, and ensure that you have a means for your recipient to "opt-out" of your campaign.

Go to this site:

https://ecommbiz.net/Emailing.html

It has a list of companies who can supply you with mailing programs, opt-in lists, and even has a link to the FTC's SPAM rulings, so that you can ensure that you're doing it the proper way.

Remember, that as long as you're using opt-in lists, or better yet, "Double OPt-In" lists, and keeping to the subject of what these recipients agreed to accept mailings on, they'll probably welcome your email.

Also, remember that once someone opts-out, make sure you remove their name from any future mailings.

Good luck, I hope this helps.

Thanks!
Email campaign constantcontact.com, emma.com, I know there are a bunch out there. Any recommendations?
Emma.com is merely a parked domain.

I've been with ConstantContact for several years now, and I am happy with their service. I know there were problems with using their HTML templates, but since we use our own template that has not been a problem. The reporting works well and I like to be able to see who clicked who and who clicked what in the emails. It was also very easy to set up.

Plus they have a more reasonable price tag compared to Lyris.com or Topica.com
Reply:ConstantContact is VERY expensive. Their e-mail deliverability is also not very good being that they allow large list imports (spammers often abuse their system by uploading purchased lists and lists where consent was not properly obtained, which in turn generates spam complaints against their mailserver IP addresses which in turn results in a lower e-mail deliverability rate).

I suggest using a service such as http://www.contactbuddy.com which is less expensive and offers higher e-mail deliverability not to mention MORE features than ConstantContact.

Japanese uses 3 different symbols together, there were no Hiragana and Katakana symbols.

What you need to do is hire somebody to make a Flash animation that happens to mention your product. I suggest looking at the b3ta newsletter archives (b3ta.com) , as the site is UK based, and asking some of the regular contributors if they will work for you. b3ta do run one or two paid ads per issue, so this may well be a good place to launch your service.

If I am doing a mass email campaign, what type of response is typical? Half of 1% like traditional mail?

This answer can vary greatly. It's important that you use a service like Vertical Response (www.verticalresponse.com) Constant Contact, or Campaigner to create your campaigns- DO NOT SPAM people- it will only hurt your business.

Assuming that you are using a opt-in list (people who have asked to be contacted by you) or a quality third party opt-in list you should see an open rate close to 50% - again assuming you have crafted a good subject line and relevant offer.

How do you define response? Buying something or simply showing interest or click throughs. If your click through is only .5% then I would say you have a created an campaign that did not work. You shoild see click-through rates anywhere from 2%-10% for a well designed campaign.

These answers are very general of course.

Using a good web-based campaign tool will help you get good metrics.

Hope this helps.

I just got an email asking me to help campaign for McCain in my state from GOP?

But I support Ron Paul more than McCain, however, I do NOT want Obama as president. Should I do it anyway?
I just got an email asking me to help campaign for McCain in my state from GOP?
I just hung up from a call from the RNC saying the new GOP ticket is final with (*mccain*)/PALIN (major stress on second name) and could they count on me for $150 or would $100 be better?

I told them I might contribute directly to some GOP campaigns but couldn't contribute to the RNC because they donate to McCain and I think he is a rotten candidate.

I should have mentioned Ron Paul, but I am relatively sure the reason I've been getting so MANY cards and letters and now calls from the RNC is they know well that I donated the max to Ron Paul. Isn't McCain Feingold a wonderful protector of privacy?

Vote your conscience.

I'm voting third party to register disgust, as Ron Paul suggested, if my write in for Ron Paul won't be counted in California.

The impact of a huge 3rd party protest vote is potentially much bigger than the difference between McCain and Obama, IMHO.
Reply:The McCain campaign probably got your name and email address from a list that someone supplied them.

I work in a lot of campaigns and we get lists from other Republican campaigns, conservative causes, lists of registered Republicans, donor lists, everything you can imagine.

Democrats and non-citizens show up on some of them.

We mail, call and email everybody because we aren't going to miss even one possible vote.

Ron Paul may have your heart, but he ain't going to win.

Obama is the polar opposite of everything you believe in as a defender of individual liberty and the Bill of Rights.

The best alternative for you is John McCain.

Give him as much support as you feel comfortable doing.

At least he and Sarah Palin are pledging to cut federal spending and more government programs which should please your libertarian heart.

It sure pleases mine - and my deep belief in that 10th Amendment.
Reply:You should vote your conscience. If you think that voting for Ron Paul would be throwing your vote away then you should vote for McCain. It would seem to me though that both McCain and Obama have enough campaigners.
Reply:You should never campaign for anyone you don't truly believe in because you won't be effective.
Reply:Vote Bob Barr.

From what i have heard they are all scams
Reply:About two years ago I tried one of these companies down in Texas. Not only got the whole campaign down to all the specs but they charged me $1500.00 for the whole thing. When the campaign started I was PISSED! They didn't do ANYTHING right although there was written communication between the parties as well as a test run to some of my email addresses. When I contacted them they simply responded that I had a bad advert going out but for some more dollars they are willing to fix it. Nothing came of the whole thing at the end of the day. Good money down the tube. Don't be lured in by these people, get a contactable address and telephone number, references, etc. LOTS OF SCAMS IN THIS FIELD!

Paypal Refunds - Donations used for lawyers EMAIL CAMPAIGN?

If you have donated in good faith to the Find Madeleine fund, you have been paying to save the bacon of the McCann’s and feed sharks. Justine the Team McCann spokesperson has today confirmed our worst fears that the fund is paying for lawyers fees. The following is her quote, not mine and no matter what way you dress this up it is fraud in the highest degree.

“So far only £70,000 has been spent – on setting up a website, running a press office, producing wristbands, T-shirts and posters and paying legal fees”

Phil ma can runs the website so would have benefited directly, lawyers for the Tapas 9 to advise on “how do we cover leaving all our children alone night after night the eldest being only 3 years old” Wristbands to make more money and t shirts and posters to advertise the donating website - no Private Investigators and nothing that would directly be involved in searching for poor Madeleine.

Please pass this on as an email campaign.

Below is the company directors who have after much pressure had to state there is conflict of interests on all counts and as such there is a conflict of interest policy.

WHERE IS THIS “CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY”? It needs to be made public.

The fund is under the control of relatives or family friends, including Peter Hubner, 64, a retired consultant; Gerry’s brother John McCann, 48; former GMTV presenter Esther McVey, 39, who runs a Liverpool-based PR firm; Doug Skehan, 54, a clinical director of cardiology at Glenfield Hospital, where Gerry works; Philip Tomlinson, 76, a lawyer and former Leicestershire coroner; and Brian Kennedy, 68, Madeleine’s great uncle.

With the money clearly being the focus of the McCann’s we need to hit them where it hurts, and before anyone can jump down my throat that I am “unhelpful” if you wish to donate the money you manage to get recalled from Pay pal to a “REAL CHARITY” searching for missing children then I suggest you find a reputable charity and not a LTD Company begging for lawyers fees and dressing it up as a “FUND”

PAYPAL OFFER A PROTECTION POLICY - QUOTE BELOW*

*13.1 Buyer Protection Programmes. If you buy an item using PayPal and either do not receive the item or receive an item that you believe is Significantly Not as Described by the seller, we encourage you to open a Dispute with the seller in our “Resolution Center” located on the PayPal Website(s). By doing so, you will initiate our “Online Dispute Resolution Process”—a step-by-step system designed to facilitate communication between you and the seller in order to get resolution of the issue. If your dialogue with the seller fails to produce a satisfactory result, you can then escalate the Dispute into a Claim that we will evaluate for reimbursement .

Once again please start an email campaign to recall donations and resend them to a real charity, I am a loving, caring mother of 2 and am doing this as clearly the only way to get any real justice for Madeleine is to hit the pockets of their neglectful parents and relatives.
Paypal Refunds - Donations used for lawyers EMAIL CAMPAIGN?
Hi dtracey, I have been saying from the word go that this Fund would be used to pay for Lawyers to defend the McCanns if they got into 'difficulties' or could be used by them to defend say a child neglect case and I say they should be charged with perverting the course of Justice, so the Fund could theoretically be used to defend this. Should any more serious charges be considered the Fund which I believe has topped the million but they are not admitting it could be used to obtain top legal advice. It is disgraceful. I know you cannot benefit from the money obtained from a crime and I firmly believe that this is a crime to defraud kind hearted people from their hard earned money to 'find' missing Madeleine but as far as I can see not a penny has been spent on actually finding her. The way the Fund has been set up there would appear to be no course of getting the money back to the people who donated. It is the best scam I have ever come across and believe me I have come across a few in my profession. It is totally brilliant. It would need a specialist lawyer to take the 'small print' to pieces but the wording used has obviously been constructed to benefit the McCanns with no recourse to refund.

Luckily I have not personally donated. Perhaps PayPal is the way forward, I have no idea, it might 'muddy the waters' but each individual donation is so small a large majority would have to join forces to make any difference and I would imagine the McCanns have taken 'legal steps' to block this as they probably have any other 'loophole' to relinquish their greedy grasp on the money. Good Luck.

Can a website tracker track visitors that came through an email marketing campaign?

It depends on the software.

Most tracking software can show you visitors that came from web-based email providers such as yahoo email or AOL web email. But most web analytics software cannot read and track visitors from email clients such as Outlook and Eudora and simply lumps these visitors as Others (or however the web analytics software defines it to be)

There are however some web tracking software that can tell you if the visitor comes from an email marketing campaign,

Google Analytics, for example, allows you to track if the visitor comes from an email marketing campaign -- IF you actually put a tracking code in the emails that you sent. http://www.google.com/support/googleanal...
Can a website tracker track visitors that came through an email marketing campaign?
Yes, very simply use a special URL for the email campaign. Evaluate web logs to determine any traffic coming in through that page likely comes from the email campaign.

Another effective way to track sales, is to use a coupon code, the visitor has an incentive to enter the coupon (the discount) and you will have an idea of effective email conversion.
Reply:Yes, if the recipient's email software displays images within the message, or executes scripts; otherwise, only if the consumer takes some action such as clicking on a link in the ad.

The most common strategy is a "web bug," where the ad loads an invisible 1x1 image; the request for that image includes a code that identifies the email address to which the email was sent. (For example, if someone sends me an email, they might identify me as #1050609, and the image request might load the file "zimage.php?u=1050609" which tells the marketer when I've opened the email.)

Note that this tracking requires some amount of pre-planning, and requires that each email be created separately with a unique ID embedded in the image requests and/or links. This is NOT something you can do just by sending a bulk email and then checking your log files, or using an analytics program.

Is there a way we can start an email campaign to ESPN/ABC regarding their coverage, or lack thereof???

I'm sick of missing restarts. Big things can happen on a restart. A missed shift, spinning the tires...etc. And while we're at it can we get Rusty WaWa reduced to a pit reporter?
Is there a way we can start an email campaign to ESPN/ABC regarding their coverage, or lack thereof???
no kidding!!! right there with ya on this one!!! we cant stand the t.v coverage so when the race is on i will go to nascar.com and log on to trackpass and i highlight the coverage of harvick but then i pick the radio broadcast they have from the track, much better coverage!!!! and better comentators they definatly need some of those, rusty and those other guys just dont cut it!!! i vote for john roberts, jimmy spencer, and kenny wallace ( when he is not in the car, which by the way i hope robert yates picks him up and puts him in the#88 car) i love they coverage they do on speed on "race day, built by the home depot" and " victory lane"!!!
Reply:i, wouldn't mind if they did split screen shots when going to commercials.
Reply:if i had my choice it would be fox all the way from the bud shootout to the last lap of the season.
Reply:I have no problem with ESPN/ABC .
Reply:If so SIGN ME UP!!!Not to mention that they "lost" their satellite the last 3 laps of the Bristol race for the Busch Series!!! They had to do a re-play for the fans!!!! It's just not the same in re-play!!!!

ESPN has gotta go!!!!
Reply:Thats why I have my sirus satelite radio going, the MRN guys are talking green flag and ESPN is still showing a flipping commercial, you canget MRN off track pass as well they have a special running from the 9th-16th, it sure beats listening to ole Rusty..The MRN guys are super they talk racing no b/s just the race. In some areas MRN is on local radio channels as well.. Bring on 2008 and the Fox crew..
Reply:Let me know where to send email, also could not agree more on the Crusty Wallace comment. He needs to go to the local drugstore and get a giant size bottle of STFU pills to take before a race. Andy Petree does a much better job in the booth than motormouth Rusty.
Reply:espn coverage sucks.nascar is getting phony. maybe we should all boycot the coverage and they would bring back the coverage and the nascar racing from years gone by that made them famous.its a shame to spoil a fantastic sport in the name of profit!!!
Reply:They need to show it on multiple stations and let the viewers decide which one they like more. I bet FOX wins hands down.

How can I organise a viral email marketing campaign?
Hi,

if you won't mind, I like to suggest to go to this really good site. It gave you free ebook without asking your email. There's a new Ebook I have just come across which I predict will become very popular.

It presents a strategy for selling any type of product using methods which will never become obsolete. Plus an ingenious twist which will send your traffic rocketing.

The Ultimate SuperTip, written by Harvey Segal (Mr SuperTips) is neatly set out, easy to follow, written without hype and not littered with annoying links.

And the cost of this book ?

It's free !

And it ends with an amazing idea for making you money from the book itself.

I'd rush to get this book now if I were you at http://viralmarketing.web44.net

Wish you luck.
Reply:The key to creating a viral campaign is to generate a message that is different and novel and easily transferrable from one person to another, hence the word viral. Email marketing is perfectly suited to this approach.

A specific example for your type of site would be to create a youtube video marketing a key theme from your site. Send it to your friends and collegues. Now, if it is good enough, funny enough, interesting enough then it will get forwarded further.

Targeting the viral campaign to your intended audience is a matter of planning. In your case, I suggest that you have two main audiences. First, is the person who have children in demographic of 13 plus who are looking to dispose of their unwanted items. Second is for parents who are looking to acquire items for their children from pregnancy through to 13.

Think about the ages of these groups and that can generate some ideas about the content of the email. A recent example was a TV ad that was forwarded to me that had a rock band coming off the stage, taking off their costumes and they were 80 year olds. It appealed to the 55+ demogaphic and that is who forwarded it to me.

Think creatively. It will not cost you much and can be very successful.

Hello,

My website is new , and I don't have an email list, and I want to start an email marketing plan?
Hos can I start an email marketing campaign?
Review this site, they have a lot of quality info about email marketing and they have the best email marketing autoreponder online:

http://www.GetResponse.com/index/Heaven4...
Reply:First step is to acquire emails.

Email Acquisition Method 1 - This can be done by having an email capture box on your website where visitors can enter their email to get more information about your website's product or to get a newsletter. This gets you an opt-in list meaning it is not considered spam(unless they choose to not receive emails from you anymore and you keep sending it to them)

Email Acquisition Method 2 - Add a forum to your site and make your forum popular and everytime someone registers to our forum make sure to include that you will use their data to send them useful info. This gets you an opt-in list meaning it is not considered spam(unless they choose to not receive emails from you anymore and you keep sending it to them)

Email Acquisition Method 3 - Make a contest for a prize. Every sign up for the contest gets you an opt-in email.

Email Acquisition Method 4 - Buy an Opt-in list. The problem with that is that they can be expensive and most of them are not rip offs.

Now that you got yourself an email list, sending email is the second step. How to send ot mass emails. Well, if you are going to send them from your website server you need to create an email address meant just for that.

Afterwards, you need to get yourself an email sending program so you dont have to send out every email manually. They are several mass email software for free so just look around for on and install it on your server.

Depending on who is hosting your website and the type of service you are paying for, a software may already be available for your website.

Don't SPAM because your website could get in trouble.

When you send out emails, start off with just like 10 or so a week and double the amount every week. If you sesnd out 100,000 emails in one month, your provider will ban you for spamming since its not normal for a new website to send out that many emails.

Make sure to include a link on each email to let your subscribers unsubscribe. If you dont, its called spamming.

Another way is to send out emails is just to make an email mailer with your ads or whatever and hire someone to send them out for you.

I hope this helps. I got this information from http://www.blindmonkeymedia.com who set me up with all of the necessary tools for my website to capture and send out my emails.

What software would you reccomend to run an email marketing campaign?

I have very limited HTML knowledge and would ideally like a very simple solution that will also be able to track %26amp; report responses.

What software would you reccomend to run an email marketing campaign?
Without a doubt, you want to use PHPList - I've written all about it here:

http://www.3bweb.com/site-features/email...

It's FREE to own and use, for as many emails as you like - FAR better than any of the externally hosted solutions, which don't send out from your domain, and charge per email!
Reply:Hi,

There are many ways to market a small business on the web. You can buy banner ads, text links, or use PPC. However, the best way is to get listed in a bunch of portals. Portals and directories are like phone books, and they often provide a lot of traffic because they tend to rank high on Google.

This portal is giving away a free business card holder for lising your business (I got mine a few days ago in the mail). If you want to know about some other portals, just let me know.

Im trying to setup an email campaign to advertise my website?

Im trying to setup an email campaign to advertise my website. I found several sites on the internet that allow you to manage your campaign but you have to provide your own list? Ive looked everywhere and cant decide whats real or whats fake? Does anyone have any experience using email to advertise? I just want something that gets results
Im trying to setup an email campaign to advertise my website?
I've used e-mail for 4-5 years, primarily to send out information for a couple of nonprofit groups I'm involved with.

I use Constant Contact ( http://www.constantcontact.com ) and have been very pleased with it. However, there are other good, reputable companies out there. Another I'm familiar with is Vertical Response. Another is iContact.

Some people also use autoresponders to accomplish the same task. One of the more popular ones is AWeber, though there are a lot of them out there.

The cost varies, depending on the service's business model. Some charge per month based on total records. Others charge based on number of e-mails you send. The prices are posted on their web sites, and most are pretty competitive with each other.

It's true you have to provide your own list. In some cases, the services have allied list providers. In other cases, they don't. But what they don't want you doing is spamming. They want to make sure that the names you enter have specifically requested either your information, or have given permission to someone (usually a collector for a lsit provider) to allow them to send e-mail.

The two factors that will get you the best results are (1) a good list, and (2) a good message. A good list is one where the people on it are interested in whatever product or service you're providing. A good message is one that stimulates action--a compelling message.

Some of the services (I know Constant Contact is one) offer kind of turn-key programs. Other providers partner with them to work with end users to develop campaigns. That costs extra, of course, but that provides some assurance that the person helping develop your campaign understands e-mail campaigns.

Hope that helps.

Business data starts at $0.04 per record. A basic record includes business name, top contact name and title, address, and phone number. Unlimited selects for both consumer and business data. All our data is 98% deliverable, we update every month as opposed to quarterly using certified NCOA (National Change of Address) and DNC (Do Not Call) software. The list is yours to own so it allows you to build or continue to build your personal database. In addition after you have purchased the data you will receive your list via email within an hour in your desired format (Excel being the most common). Included are my direct phone number and web address. This will give you more insight into my company as a full service direct marketing firm. Please feel free to call or email with any questions. I look forward to your reply!

What do they mean in marketing terms by localisation of emails, in an email campaign?

I guess this means tweaking your campaigns to ensure they will work in each country , what does this pratically involves?

f the administrator customizes any one of the account email settings in /admin/settings/user, the subjects and bodies of all of them get frozen to whatever language the administrator has selected at that instant.

This is especially problematic for the password recovery e-mail. If a user is used to interacting with a site in their preferred language, password recovery e-mails in a different language will be confusing and may even get reported as spam if they come unexpectedly (DoS attack).

I'll post a feature request to ask for a more comprehensive solution, but in the meantime there should at least be a warning on the /admin/settings/user page to alert the admin to the consequences of customizing any of the messages. Since the drupal module is not active by default, and many admins may choose not to activate it, they'll want to remove the note about the Drupal ID, and they probably won't realize that this breaks the localization of the password recovery e-mail.

How do I track visitors from my email campaign in Google Analytics?

Hello,

I am attempting to filter visitors from my email campaign to track their basic visitor stats, site behavior, etc. My emails URLs are all tagged as they should be, however, I am not sure how to create a filter in the Google Analytics tool to parse out these visitors.

Any help from users more knowledgable than myself would be greatly appreciated.

Reply:Hi, I had the same issue myself, I think this is what you are looking for:

Once you login to your account go to analytics and follow these steps:

1 - Click Content

2 - Click top content

3 - At the bottom of the top content area there is a "Find Page:" area, type in one of your tags and it should bring up the relevent page for you.

I hope that is what you are looking for.
