How can I organise a viral email marketing campaign?
Hi,

if you won't mind, I like to suggest to go to this really good site. It gave you free ebook without asking your email. There's a new Ebook I have just come across which I predict will become very popular.

It presents a strategy for selling any type of product using methods which will never become obsolete. Plus an ingenious twist which will send your traffic rocketing.

The Ultimate SuperTip, written by Harvey Segal (Mr SuperTips) is neatly set out, easy to follow, written without hype and not littered with annoying links.

And the cost of this book ?

It's free !

And it ends with an amazing idea for making you money from the book itself.

I'd rush to get this book now if I were you at http://viralmarketing.web44.net

Wish you luck.
Reply:The key to creating a viral campaign is to generate a message that is different and novel and easily transferrable from one person to another, hence the word viral. Email marketing is perfectly suited to this approach.

A specific example for your type of site would be to create a youtube video marketing a key theme from your site. Send it to your friends and collegues. Now, if it is good enough, funny enough, interesting enough then it will get forwarded further.

Targeting the viral campaign to your intended audience is a matter of planning. In your case, I suggest that you have two main audiences. First, is the person who have children in demographic of 13 plus who are looking to dispose of their unwanted items. Second is for parents who are looking to acquire items for their children from pregnancy through to 13.

Think about the ages of these groups and that can generate some ideas about the content of the email. A recent example was a TV ad that was forwarded to me that had a rock band coming off the stage, taking off their costumes and they were 80 year olds. It appealed to the 55+ demogaphic and that is who forwarded it to me.

Think creatively. It will not cost you much and can be very successful.

Reply:From your website I see its kids oriented. Have participants forward you a cool kids sites and have links. MaybeTurn this into a contest with prizes and include the prizes in the swap.

A game could be created where clever people can swap up (if they are good at negociation) and get bigger things.

Publicize this opportunity as well. Combo of EBAY, swapping, and negotiation skill.

Create a unique kids oriented plush animal to give away as a buyer premium.

Submit Press Releases to kids and "mom" oreinted media off and on the web to direct attention to your website.

Allign yourself with kids "causes".

Create low cost advertising promotinal items: pencils, coin holders, pens or incentive items ie. music download cards and give out at places where there are alot of kids to draw people to your website. The website info would be on these items. Feel free to check my website for some of these or contact us for info on give away items not shown on the site such as the the music or ringtone down load cards: www.ConnectTheDotsAdvertising.com Good luck with your new site.
Reply:G'day mate!

The style of viral marketing I use is giving something for free to encourage referrals. Something like this:

But if you want to go beyond viral marketing and really put the word out there about your website, you need more strategy and marketing.

Try Pay Per Click. Seeing as you're in Australia, stick to AdWords.

Otherwise, there are heaps of free ways to get traffic. Check it out:
